So Friday Dylan decided (OK we decided for him) to make his big appearance at Luke's work. Boy was he a hit!! I think it took us about an hour to make our rounds around the office. Everyone oooddd and ahhhdd at him. Lots of people actually said he looks like Luke, which I have to say, I think he is starting to look more like him. Anyways, It was a fun day, Dylan was a champ and was wide awake the whole time looking at everyone's faces intently (and smiling and giggling at some). Then his uncle Neil took us to lunch at Uncle Julios! YUM! Here's Dylan & Dada at lunch:

Everyday...
......I look at Dylan and I am amazed at how fast he is growing. It feels like yesterday we just brought him home! It makes me so proud to see that he is eating, sleeping and developing as he should be and that Luke and I are responsible for that! Everyday it gets more and more fun being his mom, watching him observe, interact and learn new things! I have to say, the first month was pretty rough....looking back, I had a lot of anxiety! I questioned everything we did with him and debated if it was the "right" thing. Now, it is all feeling much more natural. Part of the reason, I'm sure, is that we are all getting to know each other better and understand his needs/wants more clearly and obviously he is learning to recognize and trust us. His personality is also starting to really shine. I love seeing him smile and giggle and get excited when he practices standing (with our help of course). So, everyday, I really do give thanks for how blessed we are and what a beautiful healthy little boy we have.

Poor little guy's got a bad rash!!
At first we thought it was heat rash (since he's a pepper pot and gets so hot and sweaty!) but turns out it's a combination of eczema, cradle cap and seborrhea. It's on his face, neck, back of neck and chest. Pedi prescribed a topical steroid for it since it seems to be getting worse and spreading. It does seem to bother Dylan on his cheeks, he's constantly trying to rub them into something (especially your shoulder). Other than that he seems to be fine. I hope it goes away soon, it looks awful!
1st Halloween!! 6 weeks old at the Dallas Arboretum
This last Sunday we went to the Dallas Arboretum for the Autumn festival since it was beautiful outside and Dylan's grandpa was visiting!! It was alot of fun though extremely crowded! Here are some pics! He was a trooper for all the pictures! You can click on them to see them larger.

Dylan's 1 month old!!!
HAPPY ONE MONTH BIRTHDAY DYLAN!!
Some things Dylan's doing these days:
Making lots of noises, especially grunting in his sleep and when he stretches! Starting to smile and mimic your facial expressions. He makes all sorts of cute faces while he sleeps. I always wonder what he is dreaming about. He loves lifting his head and using his neck muscles! He also likes to sit up straight and observe the room, rarely does he like being on his back! He's gone 5 hours sleeping. He loves looking at he ceiling fan, lights (lamps or ceiling) and looking out the windows (I think it must be the white trim w/ the contrast). He loves to comfort suck, which means the pacifier is a favorite for him. All in all, he seems like a very happy healthy little baby! As he should be!

Dylan's first REAL bath!!!
Bathtime!!! (finally a real bath and not just a sponge bath since we were waiting for his umbilical cord to fall off) He did really good, I think he liked it! We did a little baby massage after!
