Happy 11 Month Birthday Dylan!

I can not believe in one month our baby will be a year old. How is this possible? Time is going by too fast. There are so many times throughout the day that I always think, "this is only temporary, it's going to be over way to soon." Whether it's good or bad; rocking him to sleep, making a bottle, carrying him on my hip, teaching him how to walk, trying for over an hr to get him to nap, changing the stinkiest diaper ever, keeping him out of danger, etc. It all goes by too fast.

Anyways...on to what Dylan's been up to this last month. We had a huge milestone! Walking!! Dylan look his first steps right before his 11 month birthday and is a walking fool now. It's amazing how fast they pick things up. He still crawls a lot too because obviously he is faster at it, but I think he really enjoys walking. Half the time he doesn't even realize he's doing it when he's playing with his toys and carrying them around the house.

He loves to play chase, us chasing him or him chasing us. It's so funny how excited he gets. When he tries to crawl away really fast while playing chase it's hilarious when he looses his balance and goes face first into the floor....it doesn't seem to phase him though!

He has gotten really good at waving "hi" and "bye." He is talking up a storm though it's not many words. I really don't know what language he is speaking. It's amazing to see how much he watches us to learn from us. Whether we are saying something, making a facial expression or physically doing something. He wants to be able to do it too and always trying to mimic.

The only time we can ever get this boy to sit still and stay in one spot is if we put the cartoon "Yo Gaba Gaba" on TV. Other than that short 30 minutes, he is all over the place, getting into everything! He loves climbing up on the ledge to the fireplace and trying to crawl into it. Yes, we definitely have our work cut out. He still really loves water and swimming. We decided to do his first birthday party at the pool for this reason, it makes him so happy!

He eats like a champ...taking 4 bottles through the day around 7 ounces each. He eats breakfast, lunch and dinner and pretty much whatever we are eating we a few exceptions. I think we are going to start introducing whole milk into his diet this month (per the pediatricians advice) and see how he does. It will be so nice to not have to buy formula after he's a 1yr old!

Anyways, here are his bear pics. It's nearly impossible to get him to stay still and he wasn't having it with the bear so this is best we got!
