Birthday Weekend in Houston, TX!

Since Dylan had his big 1st birthday party a couple weeks early we decided to go down to Houston to celebrate his twin birthday cousin Mile's birthday! It was busy fun filled weekend! We went to the Srayground in downtown Houston on Saturday and then the Aquarium Sunday. Of course Dylan had fun toddling around following his cousin Max and encouraging Miles to walk!

Dylan's BIG 1st Birthday Party!!!

Our little man is about to be one!!!! We celebrated his birthday a couple weeks early, on August 22nd, due to the fact that his grandpa Craig was going to be on a trip the weeks surrounding his actual birthday. It wouldn't have felt right if he were not there! Dylan was also so lucky that his great grandpa Wally from Albuquerque flew in for the birthday celebration as well!

Anyways, the party was a blast. Of course Dylan's obsessive mom had to go all out with a theme and everything. We did an "under the sea" theme since Dylan seems to love the water and is such a water baby! We hosted the party at the Brookhaven Country Club which has multiple pools and a splash pad area that the little babies love! The thought of 30 adults and 18 kids (of various ages) in our house did not appeal and with it being the hot summer, we figured the kids would thoroughly enjoy the pools.

The club catered the main food (appetizers) and drinks and I myself made all the desserts including Dylan's cake. It was a lot of fun, and lets just say I practiced several times with making the "perfect" cupcake!

I can't believe our little boy is about to be one, it was such a fun celebration of this huge milestone in all our lives and it will be remembered forever! We are so grateful to be surrounded by such amazing family & friends to help us cherish this memory!
