Anyways, here's what Dylan is up to! As seen in the video below he has learned to clap! And he loves doing it! He has just recently started standing on his own for short periods of time. It's so cute, he gets proud of himself for doing it and claps while standing! He has also learned to dance to music. I was wondering if he would be a dancer. Apparently, he is! He LOVES music, it totally relaxes him or gets him happy excited. His favorite cartoons are the ones with music, such as Yo Gaba Gaba, or Fresh Beat Band.
He's the same ol social butterfly, constantly running his mouth. If someone walking by doesn't acknowledge him and say hello he always looks concerned, like "hey, don't you see me, let's talk!" He says "dog" but it sounds like "da" and he says "cat" which sounds like "ca". He can also say "Bye" and has learned to wave.
One of my favorite things he's started doing is standing up while holding on to your leg. He'll pull on your short (or skirt) when he wants to be picked up, I don't know why but it pulls at my heart strings. His communication skills for his wants are pretty clear these days, which is great!
He's still eating like a champ! He takes 4 bottles a day and eats 3 meals. Dinner time is def. our favorite. I love sitting down as a family at the dinning table (Dylan in his high chair) and enjoying our dinner and time together as a family! Dylan makes for some great entertainment.
Our house has been taken over by toys, I bought a bag of 100 balls (like the kind that go in a ball pit) and keep them in a storage ottoman in our living room, he loves them! Since he has really started standing and cruising fairly quickly, he has become a furniture/object mover. He loves sliding his musical table, the little ottomans, chairs, etc. around the room. It's quite comical. He also likes to lift weights, such as Luke's shoes, large toy trucks, etc.
Anyways....he's a very happy baby and gets more and more fun to be with everyday. It's amazing how quickly they grow! Here are some pictures. It is MUCH harder to get him to stay still for a photo...he just wants to go go go!
